Sliding Doors

Yesterday I was talking to a friend, and I asked her if she could, would she like a glimpse of her life if she went left instead of right??? I know it's wrong to wonder, but it's also human nature to want what we can't have...and we don't have the ability to preform this task...making it only more desirable. There was a few minutes of silence on the phone while we both pondered this. My glimpse would take me to a married life, possibly living in Nebraska....scary thought...the wife of a history teacher and a lutheran...lol. That life would have taken me away from my family, I am sure of it...yes after I was DUMPED...I was angry, but now I see that he did me the biggest favor ever. He spared me a life of never ending bake sales, and Cornhusker football. I know now that I wouldn't have been happy....but at that time I thought I was ( but really how much do you know at 18...not shit)...God...I think now what I would have been missing...no regrets.
